Rosie - Mexican heritage
OMG, this portrait is stunning, so hard to give to customer. You are beautiful Rosie, it was a joy to create you in pastels.

Oh my this portrait is looking good. I'm loving the undertones that will perk up the top layers.

a Star is born
Star is a popular pup in the Hat and I am happy to be a part of her groupie pack. And, she lives up to her name. Check out this link at 20 seconds. (In Medicine Hat, We Share Our Trails - YouTube)

Progress
This portrait is actually done in oils. I wanted it to provide an illuminance from the sun dappled trees and the texture of her fur. You can really feel the soft breeze and warmth of the sun on her fur. You know...happiness is a warm puppy!

Photo Selection
This is the photo, owner's on the left merged head from photoshoot on right to get more detail and Star's ears. As you can see above it shows the playful, watchful and spirit of Star.

Getting the portrait of Bailey brought tears to my eyes, Thank you for the beautiful picture, I have had Bailey for 24 years so we have spent many an hour together I know I will not have her forever, so this will be a wonderful keepsake Thank you

What a pleasure to meet this beauty. Bailey was definitely an independent spirit. We had a bunch of carrots and when she wanted one, she nudged you with her shoulder. And if that wasn't producing results she would walk away. It was a beautiful day and a little breezy which gave her that tousled model look! However, because it was sunny she had that squinty look and we couldn't get her gorgeous misty blue eyes. So the client did end up getting the photo in the end and resulted in portraying her mischievous personality.

All in the family
6 weeks, 4 dogs, 1 cat and a goat! Top left to right and bottom are: Annie, Barney, Synchro, Lavish, Tempo & Snickers. This is 3 feet x 3 feet completed in acrylic.
This portrait was completed for my client's daughters milestone birthday. I believe from the look on her and her husbands face that they were truly in shock.
I composed the painting from various photos and because they live in BC this was painted with a BC flair.

Progress
Here are a few photos of the progress, I had to keep it a secret and couldn't post until after the birthday event.
